VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS



Step 1: Pull final numerical grades from CANVAS

  1. Verify grade weights are correct and each assignment has been assigned to either the summative or formative categories.  (Summative = 75%, Formative = 25%)
  2. Make sure all turned in assignments have been graded. 
  3.  If a student has been exempt from an assignment, enter an 'EX' in the grade book.

Tip! If you see an ! in the Final grade column, something needs attention!


4. Calculate Missing Assignments as 0. You can enter these manually, or use the bulk option: 


IMPORTANT! You only want to use this feature once you are ready to pull grades. This process cannot be              undone and can only be done one time.


To use the bulk option: Select the gear shape from the right hand side of your grade book:


Enter 0% for the 'Grade percentage for missing ass




5. Optional - (If you would like to download your grade book as a csv file)


- Under the Grade book menu, select 'Individual View'

- Select 'Download Current Scores'


                                     






Step 2: Enter final grades in Maestro.

There are two different options for entering grades. You can enter them one student at a time, or multiple students at a time. 



Option 1: Entering grades one student at a time


1.) Click on 'Enrollments' tab from the menu bar

2.) Sort by Term

3.) Click the 'Edit' icon next to the correct student



3. Select the 'Complete/Drop' tab. 


4. Enter the numerical grade and final comments

5. Select 'Complete'. This will send a grade report to the student, parent and counselor. This will also remove the student from your active grade book in Canvas. (You can still view completed enrollments in Canvas, however the student will no longer show up on your active list of students in Maestro for the completed term.)

NOTE: Once you complete a student, they will no longer have access to the course



Option 1: Entering grades for multiple students at a time


1. Choose the Section for grades you want to enter


2. Select Gradebook


3. Enter numerical grade under 'Final Grade' and any comments under 'Final Comments'

4. Click SAVE! 





5. You now need to mark the student 'Complete'. This will send a grade report to the student, parent and counselor. This will also remove the student from your active grade book in Canvas. (You can still view completed enrollments in Canvas, however the student will no longer show up on your active list of students and will be removed from your roster in Maestro for the completed course.)


From the enrollments tab:

-Select the applicable term to filter out any upcoming or current enrollments.




6. Select the students who have final grades and need to be marked 'Complete'. 

7. Select the 'Launch Bulk Action Console' icon



8. Select 'Complete Enrollments' from the drop down, followed by the 'Complete Enrollments' button.
