Final grades are calculated by taking into account the "Graded Work" (Current Grade) from Canvas, as well as the Number of Assignments completed and the Number of Assignments to Date (or assignments assigned). Because on demand courses in Canvas do not have due dates, we cannot rely on the custom 'Grade Report' from Maestro that some of you are familiar with from your traditional courses.

To calculate the final grade for on demand students, use the final grade from your Canvas grade book. Make sure to adjust the grade so that any assignments not completed are calculated as zero, assuming the student is not going to turn in the missing work.

Step 1: Select the gear shaper on the upper right hand corner of your grade book.

Step 2: Select 'Treat Ungraded as 0'.

The final grade calculation from your grade book in Canvas will be the final grade to enter in Maestro.

Go to Maestro:

Step 3: Click on 'Enrollments' from the menu bar

Step 4: Click the 'Edit' icon next to the correct student

A new window will appear:

Select the 'Complete/Drop' tab. Enter the final grade and any comments. Select 'Complete'. This will send a grade to the student, parent, and school counselor and also remove from your roster in Maestro and Canvas.
